London Best Markets #1: Acklam Village & Portobello Market

Love markets, bargain, diverse food, music and collectibles? Then Portobello and Acklam Village Markets will be a place worth visiting whether you are in London as a tourist or a local in the city.

Portobello is the place to be if you love international food, arts and crafts, and just being around other people. It has been a market since the 1800s and is one of the most popular places in London.

It's also known as "the people's market" because it was one of the first places in England where anyone could sell their products. You can find anything from handcrafted jewelry to traditional English food like fish and chips. The best part is that you can get lunch at one stall and then pick up a hat or scarf from another stall!

This blog describes Portobello Road Market, one of the largest and oldest antiques markets in London; as well as Acklam Village Market, a hidden gem located at the end of Portobello Road in Notting Hill.

A hidden gem in Notthing Hill, London. Located near Portobello Road, Acklam Village Market is a place worth visiting. Here you will find street food, live music, art and entertainment.

The food market has numerous stands and several cousines such as chinese, italian, latin, indian, and other. The food market is not long despite having numerous stands and there is only a few places where you can sit down to eat so most of the food is to eat on-the-go.

After passing the street food area, you will find the fashion market with several goods such as clothes, bags, art and other accessories.

It is only open on Satuday and Sundays from 11am to 7.30pm.
